I first reviewed this place 2 years ago and have since been going back. I blame you baked for my weight problem! lol
So a couple weeks ago we were invited to dinner at a friends house. We stuffed ourselves during dinner and then we broke up two mini cheesecakes and two apple crumb tart thing. Just one of each should have been enough. It was a pumpkin cheesecake that was light and fluffy.
Good lord it was good. We killed all four. At one point we looked down and said omg we ate it all. Yes its that good.

I've been here a few times, super cute block in Portrero. The woman who owns the shop is super nice and her cupcakes and cakes, etc. are always really cute. I love the way she frosts the cupcakes (little dollops!) and her cakes are such an adorable size; anyway, the woman knows her stuff. I'm currently enjoying a small lemon ricotta cake that is de-li-cious; subtle flavors with a creamy texture = win.

I LOVE Baked. I love the use of the space, the name, the food, the serious baker who knows her stuff and loves her craft.
These are not butter-cream sugar orgy desserts, this is classy crafted dessert artistry.
The coconut cake made such an impression on us on my husbands birthday that we sometimes talk to each other about it as we are drifting off to sleep. Subtle, elegant, just the right size this is an evolved cake.

In short, BEST brownie EVER! Super moist with a kick...I think it may be espresso. Thank god I work close...THANK GOD!
